The Best 5G Mobile Plans in Switzerland

The switch is now complete: almost every new mobile plan in Switzerland is automatically a 5G plan. Even if your phone still hops between 4G and 5G in the background depending on where you are, the direction is clear. Swisscom, Sunrise and Salt keep expanding their networks, and in the end the new technology replaces the old, just as with earlier network generations. Sign up today and you simply browse on the most modern network.

According to official ComCom figures, Swisscom currently has the best 5G coverage, followed by Sunrise and Salt. Swisscom reaches around 99 % of the population with 5G, and Sunrise is similarly high. Salt started its rollout a little later but is steadily catching up.

In cities you will hardly notice a difference between the three networks. It becomes clearer in rural and Alpine areas. Before choosing your 5G plan, also check the speed available, as it varies by rate. In the mobile plan comparison you can see all the offers at a glance.

The answer is now clear: yes. What counted as an extra for heavy users a few years ago is practically standard today, however much you use your phone. Even if you only watch the occasional short video, open your tax return online or make a bank transfer, you will soon notice that 5G is no longer a luxury but the basic requirement for everyday tasks like these to run smoothly. Most new plans assume the technology anyway, whether you browse a lot or use your phone sparingly. What was once a nice-to-have has become a fixed part of every modern mobile plan.
